Threado Funding: Community Management Startup Threado Raises $3.1M in Funding Led by Vertex Ventures

Bangalore-based community management startup Threado has raised $3.1 million (Rs 24.76 crore) in funding led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India. Gemba Capital, Speciale Invest and PointOne Capital also participated in the financing.

Prominent angel investors, including Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO of

Pankaj Chaddah, co-founder of Mindhouse and Zomato, Krish Subramanian and Rajaraman Santhanam, co-founders of Chargebee, and others have invested in the startup.

Threado was founded in 2020 by Pramod Rao, a former Zomato senior executive, and Abhishek Nalin.

The company plans to use the funds to bolster its team, double revenue and accelerate traction in the North American market.

“In a world where products are commoditized, building community is a critical differentiator,” Rao said in a prepared statement. “But building and growing a community is difficult. Our goal is to make it super easy for businesses to engage with their customers and grow through the power of community. »

Threado provides a dashboard for businesses and creators to manage their online communities on Slack, Discord, Discourse, Twitter or GitHub.

It claims to be used by over 200 communities such as On Deck, Glide Apps, StartUp Grind, Ultrahuman, Appsmith, Rocketlane, Scaler Academy, and FamPay, among others. Over the next 12 months, the startup plans to grow its customer base to 3,000 community-led businesses.
