Mateo Library obtains funding for its renovation | Local News

The San Mateo Marina Branch Library received $1.3 million in state financial assistance for renovations and repairs, with funding going to structural damage changes to the building’s foundation.

Pro-Tem Assembly Speaker Kevin Mullin, D-South San Francisco, advocated for state-level funding and won it thanks to an unprecedented state budget surplus. He presented the money to San Mateo officials at the 50-year-old Marina Library on August 5.
