Great Western Railway Community Funding

0

West Dorset MP Chris Loder has urged local community groups, particularly those associated with rail travel, engagement, education or environmental benefits, to apply for new funding announced under the Fund Great Western Railway community.

The scheme, run by rail operator Weymouth in Bristol, aims to support a number of community projects and meet social needs.

Mr Loder said: “Across West Dorset we have an exceptional range of community projects that could benefit greatly from this fund. I warmly encourage as many applications as possible to this fund and wish success to those who submit their applications by the Monday June 27 deadline. Please contact me so I can support them.

Bids must show a connection to the railroad and meet a social need or provide a community benefit. The programs are expected to be completed by the end of March 2023.
