The Brenham Parks and Recreation Advisory Council will seek to submit its budget request for local parks projects in the 2022-23 financial year when it meets on Wednesday.
The board will discuss $1,562,742 in projects that could be funded by the Brenham Community Development Corporation (BCDC) over the next fiscal year.
The total request includes a parks and recreation budget of $1,111,606 and a budget of $451,136 for the Blue Bell Aquatic Center. Notable projects the council is seeking funding for are the first phase of Playground Equipment for All at Brenham Family Park for $520,000, the first phase of a turf softball 4-plex at Hohlt Park for $433,680 and the refurbishment of the men’s and women’s locker room at the Aquatic Center for $208,000.
In other matters, council will receive presentation and training on city policies and procedures for advisory boards and commissions. He will also hear several rating reports.
Council will meet at noon on Wednesday in the second-floor conference room of Brenham Town Hall.
